Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you鈥檙e not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

What we鈥檒l cover
Understand and work with large numbers up to one million and three decimal places.
Learn to do calculations with negative numbers and decimals
Understand and calculate percentages, ratios, and powers.
Develop your understanding of 2-D and 3-D shapes, including how to calculate area
Interpret and be able to organise data in tables, lists, diagrams, and bar charts.
Level 1 functional skills maths courses teach you essential maths skills for learning, life, and work. This is an adult maths course with a practical focus.
When you finish entry level 1 maths you can progress to a level 2 functional skills maths course. There are also 鈥済et ready鈥 courses between each level to prepare you for the next course. The highest level is level 2.
Level 2 maths functional skills courses are accepted as a GCSE equivalent for many jobs and courses. They can help you do an apprenticeship, higher education course, or go to University.

This maths course takes around 60 hours to complete.
Functional skills courses are ideal for flexible learning. You can choose to take an in-person or online functional skills course.
