Course overview
Course description
If you do volunteer work, or have contact with vulnerable adults, this safeguarding course can help you understand how to protect their right to live in safety.
If you would like to gain a deeper awareness of why safeguarding is important, you can study for an accredited Safeguarding qualification.
Look at what is meant by the terms 'safeguarding' and 'adults at risk'. Learn how to recognise the different forms abuse may take. Examine the key laws and principles guiding the safeguarding process. Look at real-life scenarios to see safeguarding principles in practice. By the end of this training in safeguarding, you'll have a clear understanding of your safeguarding responsibilities as a volunteer.
For any job role where you have direct contact with vulnerable people, it’s a legal requirement to have a verified safeguarding qualification. If you’re considering job roles with safeguarding responsibilities, this course can help you understand if they’re right for you.
