Course description
Healthy Living: Lipreading and Managing Hearing Loss is designed to help individuals with hearing loss develop the skills needed to communicate effectively and navigate daily life with confidence. This course covers the basics of lipreading, including how to recognize speech patterns, facial expressions, and contextual clues to enhance understanding. Participants will also learn strategies for managing hearing loss in various social situations, such as using assistive devices, communicating in noisy environments, and advocating for their needs. The course includes practical exercises, group discussions, and expert advice to support participants in building their confidence and communication skills. By the end of the course, participants will have a toolkit of strategies to manage their hearing loss effectively and improve their quality of life.
