Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.
Course overview
Course description
Learners will be able to use all the essential features on the canvas such as using the canvas inbox to send messages, access course resources, use the discussion board to share session note, access the announcement feature for tutor announcements, upload assignments, check assignment grades and also type in their reflections on their learning at the end of each session through using the learner diary.
Learners will also be able to log into the zoom through the link on the course canvas page and learn how to blur their background on zoom, rename themselves, use the whiteboard features, how to send messages on chat and share documents. This course will help you to prepare to move on to your accredited level 2 Award in support work in schools and colleges qualification.
By the end of the course you will be able to use zoom, log into your online learning platform (Canvas) and navigate your way around. You will be able to upload your work to Canvas to demonstrate what you have learned and you will learn how to use an inbox within Canvas to send and receive messages. You will also be able to use Microsoft word to complete, update and edit your work.
