Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
Discover the wonderful world of junk journaling with this creative course. Whether you're a long-time craft lover who wants to try something new skill or simply looking to dip your toe into a new hobby, you'll love this craft course. Your tutor will guide you through the process of creating, step by step your junk journal as well as decorating and embellishing it, whether it’s a gift or for your personal use.
During the 5 weeks of this course we will be using a range of materials and tools, below is a list of items you could start gathering together if you have them.
Old book pages, magazines, paper pads
Fabric scraps
Glue and scissors
Needle and heavy thread
Stamps, stencils, ink pads
Tickets, postcards, envelopes
A more detailed resource list will be posted on Canvas weekly so you can gather your resources before each session. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and ask for advice from other like minded crafters. We will be using our digital learning platform Canvas to set clear objectives and upload and share our completed works. During each session you will have the opportunity to comment on your classmates work and receive feedback on your own, from both your tutor and fellow crafters. This sharing of our projects can be incredibly inspiring and build confidence in our own creative ability. This course will provide you with the inspiration and know how to create junk journals which can be sold, gifted to friends or for personal use.
